Rev. Kimberly Burke
Senior Pastor
Kimberly is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and has received her MDiv. from SMU/Perkins School of Theology. She has served churches in San Marcos, Buda, Boerne, and Canyon Lake. She is married to Danny Burke and they have 5 children and 4 grandchildren.
Prior to entering the ministry in 2001, Kimberly was employed by the Hays Caldwell Women’s Center and served as the director of the Rape Crisis Center. It was during this time, that Kimberly founded Roxanne’s House, a children’s advocacy center in San Marcos, Tx. Kimberly has taken her passion for serving the least, the last, and the lost into the ministry. She loves serving in the mission field both in the local community and abroad with long and lasting ministries in Uganda, Guatemala, and Juarez Mexico.
Kimberly is involved in Celebrate Recovery, Stephen Ministry, Emmaus, and serves on the Hill Country District Committee on Ordained Ministry, Hill Country Missions Committee, the Rio Texas Conference Administrative Review Committee, and the Rio Texas Conference Personnel Committee. Her focal scripture verse for ministry comes from the prayer that Jesus prayed, “That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

Rev. Rachel Latimer
Associate Pastor
Rachel has been a life-long United Methodist. She was baptized at Klein UMC in Spring, Texas, and was confirmed at FUMC Edna. She joined the praise band when she was 14 years old and developed her passion for worship while learning to sing, play guitar, bass guitar, and even drums! While music and worship have always been a great passion for Rachel, she also has a passion for justice and missions, and the goal of her ministry is to be a bridge between a hurting world and a healing church.
Rachel attended Texas Lutheran University, earning a BS in Kinesiology and a minor in Theology. She knew that she would always be an active member of the UMC but did not discern her call to ministry until March of 2016 during a church-planting conference. That day, she withdrew herself from her graduate program and began the ordination process. She received her Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, in 2021.
Rachel and her husband, Jacob, were “youth group sweethearts”. They met at FUMC Edna and were married there in 2013. Jacob is a Fiber Technician for Bandera Electric Cooperative and serves on the AV team as well as the praise team. Rachel and Jacob have four children: the twins- Jackson and Isaiah, Jacob, and Olivia Grace.
