Nursery Staff Members are responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and effective operation of the nursery at FUMC Boerne. Our nursery is part of our ministry here and should be a loving, nurturing, and safe environment for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families.

This is a part time position without any benefits, expressed or implied. Work hours will vary based on the event schedule of the church.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Provides age-appropriate care for children in the nursery
• Creates a welcoming environment for children and their families
• Keeps the nursery’s physical space clean, organized, and free from hazards that could harm others
• Follows nursery policies and procedures regarding care, with particular attention to supervision, check in, and check out
• Report to the Nursery Coordinator any issues that could cause harm or that hinder their ability to carry out their duties.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Experience in caring for children between the ages of 0 to 5 with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities
• Ability to supervise and communicate with parents effectively
• Able to lift 30 pounds
• Can easily get up and down from the floor
• Certified in CPR and First Aid (or be willing to become certified)
