MUSIC
MINISTRY

All of our Music Ministry teams are committed to using the gift of music to glorify God, lead God’s people in worship, and touch hearts and minds in the way that only music can. We are musical teammates, a support system for one another, and friends.

Chancel Choir

Wednesdays 7pm

This group loves to sing and is for singers 6th grade and up, from beginner singers who don’t read music at all, to experts of all ages. We rehearse a wide range of traditional styles, from gospel to classical and everything in between.

There are a number of opportunities throughout the year to have fun and grow in musical ability such as camps, workshops and special seasonal worship services, but our primary responsibility is leading the music at the 11 a.m. worship hour each Sunday.

Jubellation handbell choir

Wednesdays 6-6:45pm

This fun ensemble is made up of beginners and experienced ringers and is open to adults and student ringers. There is no audition, but some prior music reading experience is necessary. We rehearse weekly and prepare music to play for worship approximately every six weeks.

There are opportunities throughout the year to grow in ability by attending classes and workshops with the group outside of regular rehearsals.

Praise band

Wednesdays 6-7:15pm

The praise band leads the music for the 8:30 a.m. service. Those with skills on piano, bass, drums, vocals, guitar, saxophone, or really any instrument, can contact Pastor Rachel to talk about how you can best use your gifts to serve in worship!

For the Youngest Musicians

This class offers parents, grandparents, or caregivers the opportunity to play with their babies and young children in a musical setting. By singing, rocking, listening, bouncing, and playing instruments,  the child’s musical aptitude is being nurtured.
